Standard and Multi Wheel Modes
MyWheelName.com offers two distinct wheel formats to suit any randomization task:
- The Standard Wheel: Optimized for single list decisions. It is the perfect choice for picking a name, assigning a task, or selecting a winner from a single set of entries. This mode supports up to 100 entries.
- The Multi Wheel: Featuring a dual ring system, this mode allows you to combine two independent sets of data into one cohesive result. It is ideal for complex pairings like Activity + Location or Category + Challenge. In this mode, the outer ring supports 40 entries, while the inner ring accommodates up to 70.
Users can toggle between modes via the Home Screen. Our intelligent interface automatically updates presets, entry limits, and saved behaviors based on your selection.
Name Input Panel
- Result Modal: Immediately copy winners to your clipboard, view elimination orders, or access external data (like Google Maps links for the "Nearby Places" preset). Share your results to social media.
- Spin History: Access a comprehensive log of all previous spins. Review results by date, add custom notes, and export your data as Text or CSV files for record keeping.
- Social Sharing: Share your winning results instantly to X (Twitter), Facebook, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn.
Import tools: The IMPORT workflow supports three sources. Text imports one name per line from a .txt file. CSV imports every cell from a .csv file. Classroom connects to Google Classroom so a teacher can import a student roster directly from an active course. The panel also supports direct paste and drag and drop workflows. If users paste multiple lines, the app automatically splits them into separate entries. Dropping image files onto the panel creates image based segments. Dropping an image onto a specific entry adds that image to that specific segment instead.
Multi Wheel differences: In Multi Wheel mode, the input panel adds OUTER and INNER sub tabs so users can choose which ring they are editing. It also adds a LOCK or UNLOCK button for the active ring. A locked ring stays fixed while the other ring can continue spinning, which is useful when the user wants one part of a combination to remain unchanged.
Input Panel Controls

| Add check | The green check inside the text field. It appears as soon as something is typed and adds that name to the wheel. In Multi Wheel mode it adds the name to whichever ring is open. |
| Import icon | Opens the import modal for text files, CSV files, or Google Classroom rosters. |
| Sort icon | Sorts the entries alphabetically. Pressing it again reverses the order, so A to Z becomes Z to A. In Multi Wheel mode each ring keeps its own direction. |
| Shuffle icon | Randomizes the order of the current entries. |
| Clear icon | Opens the clear confirmation dialog. Users can clear names only, or clear names and reset visual customizations. |
| Entry color dot | Indicates the segment color assigned to that entry. It is a visual indicator, not a button. |
| Photo thumbnail | If an entry already has a photo, this button reopens image selection so the photo can be changed. |
| Photo button | Adds or changes a photo for a specific entry. |
| Weight button | Opens the weight controls for that entry. Higher weight means higher selection probability. |
| Weight – | Lowers the selected entry's weight. |
| Weight + | Raises the selected entry's weight. |
| Weight × | Resets an entry's weight back to the default value of 1. |
| Entry × | Removes that specific entry from the list. |
| History copy button | Copies all results for that date group to the clipboard. |
| Add Note / Edit Note | Adds or updates a note attached to a past result. Requires a signed in account. |
| Note Save | Saves the current note to that history item. |
| Note Cancel | Closes the note editor without saving. |
| Note Delete | Removes the saved note from that history item. |
| EXPORT in History | Opens export options for history, including .txt and .csv. |
| CLEAR in History | Clears saved spin history. |
Interactive Presets
Get started instantly with our library of ready made spinning wheel presets. These are designed for rapid use in classrooms, game nights, meetings, and group activities:
- Games & Decisions: Includes classic tools like the Yes or No wheel, Rock Paper Scissors, Dice, and the Alphabet spinner.
- Sport: Load Sport based presets or use our Live Games feature, which applies weighted probabilities to upcoming and live sport games.
- Nearby Places: Generate a wheel based on your real world location to choose between local restaurants, cafes, parks, and cinemas.
- Movies & Trivia: Filter by streaming service or genre to decide what to watch, or launch Trivia Mode for interactive quiz gameplay.
- Color & Numbers: Load specific shade families or generate random decimal/whole number sets for technical or creative projects.
Spin Options
Our Options menu transforms a simple picker into a robust online raffle tool and giveaway manager:
- Multiple Winners: Set exactly how many results you want to pick per spin using sliders or numeric inputs.
- Remove Winners & Duplicates: Automatically remove selected names after a round to ensure fair distribution, or allow duplicates for repeatable outcomes.
- Elimination Mode: Activate a "knockout" workflow where the wheel spins repeatedly until only one final survivor remains.
My Wheels
The My Wheels menu serves as your personal dashboard for saving and reusing configurations:
- Save & Sync: Store your custom lists, visual settings, and wheel modes. Signed in users benefit from cloud synchronization, allowing you to access your wheels on any device.
- Shared Wheels: Browse and import wheels created by other users. You can also contribute your own creations to the public community library.
Customization
Personalize your experience with our comprehensive Customization panel. This is essential for creators who need a branded wheel spinner for their audience:
- Color Palettes: Adjust individual segment colors, apply professional palettes, and customize text visibility for high contrast readability.
- Celebration Effects: Choose classic, emoji, or winner name confetti, and select from various animation styles to celebrate the winning result.
- Custom Spin Buttons: Upload your own images or brand logos to replace the default spin button.
Account Settings
Signed in users get an account button in the top right of the site. Opening it and choosing Settings gives you a display name, a display image, and the controls for closing your account. Everything here needs a signed in account: visitors browsing without one see the sign in options instead.
- Display image: Upload a JPEG or PNG and it becomes the picture on your account button. After uploading you can drag the picture inside its frame to reposition it, zoom between 100% and 300% to fill the frame, and reset the framing at any time. Only the part you frame is saved. Remove clears the picture and puts your initial back. Your display image is only visible to you.
- Display name: A name of up to 50 characters, shown on any wheel you share to the community and in the heading of your Stats & Recent Activity card. Leaving it blank is fine, in which case the heading falls back to its unnamed wording. A counter under the field shows how much of the limit you have used.
Saving changes: Save stays greyed out until something actually changes, and only the fields you edited are sent. The picture and the name are independent, so changing one never overwrites the other. A Saved confirmation appears in the footer of the dialog once the change has landed.
Deleting your account: The Delete account panel at the bottom of Settings closes your account for good. Choosing Delete my account lists exactly what will be removed: your saved wheels, spin history, stats, pins and profile, including any wheels you shared to the community. It then asks you to confirm. Nothing is deleted at that moment: your account is scheduled for deletion 30 days later and you are signed out.
Changing your mind: During those 30 days everything stays exactly as you left it. Sign back in, open Settings, and the Delete account panel shows the date your account is scheduled for deletion along with a Keep my account button that cancels the request outright. Signing in on its own does not cancel it, so a device left signed in somewhere cannot quietly undo a deletion you asked for. Once the 30 days pass the account and everything in it are removed permanently and cannot be recovered.
Before you delete: Deletion covers everything tied to your account, community wheels included, and is permanent after 30 days. If you only want a wheel off the community list, unshare it from My Wheels instead. Wheels saved to this browser rather than to your account are not affected.

| Delete my account | Starts account deletion and opens the confirmation step explaining what is removed. |
| Yes, delete my account | Confirms the request, schedules deletion for 30 days later, and signs you out. |
| Keep my account | Appears while a deletion is scheduled. Cancels it and keeps everything. |
