Random PSL Team Generator
Spin the wheel to pick a random PSL team. Free Pakistan Super League team picker for challenges, quizzes, and fan games.
What Is the Random PSL Team Generator?
The Random PSL Team Generator spins through every franchise in the Pakistan Super League.
Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators are joined by Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindi Pindiz, the two sides that took the league from six teams to eight. The wheel treats all eight the same.
How to Use the Random PSL Team Generator?
- 1
Open the Random PSL Team Generator. All 8 teams load with equal odds, Hyderabad Kingsmen, Islamabad United and Karachi Kings among them.
- 2
Trim the field if your game calls for it: take Hyderabad Kingsmen out for an underdog run, or keep only the teams still in contention.
- 3
Press SPIN. The wheel settles on one of the 8 and the result card names your PSL team.
- 4
Drawing for a group? Turn on Remove Winners so Rawalpindi Pindiz cannot come up twice, then spin once per person.
- 5
Save the trimmed wheel under "My Wheels" and the next PSL draw opens on your teams rather than all 8.
Random PSL Team Generator Use Cases
Watch party draws through the March window. Fantasy tiebreakers. Cricket podcasts running a random franchise segment.
Streamers who want the wheel to pick a team for a game save, casual viewers looking for a side to follow, and office sweepstakes that need eight names drawn without anyone claiming the pick was rigged.
What Is on the PSL Wheel
The wheel holds the whole PSL field: 8 teams, each with an identical slice. Hyderabad Kingsmen, Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi are among them.
Equal slices mean the PSL draw does not quietly favour the teams you would expect it to. Hyderabad Kingsmen comes up exactly as often as Rawalpindi Pindiz, which is the part that matters when the result has to look fair to everyone watching it land.
The PSL field of 8 is small enough that Remove Winners changes the game rather than just tidying it. Six people drawing from 8 teams take most of the wheel between them, so agree before the first spin whether the same team can go twice. If it cannot, the last person is choosing from whatever is left rather than from the full field.
From Six Teams to Eight
The PSL spent its first ten seasons as a six team league. It went to eight for 2026, when Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindi Pindiz were auctioned in, and it switched from a player draft to an auction in the same year. If you built a PSL wheel before that, it is missing two names.
The competition began in 2016 and was played entirely in the United Arab Emirates for its first two seasons while security concerns kept international cricket out of Pakistan. Matches came home in stages, starting with the 2017 final in Lahore, and the league is now played across Pakistani venues.
Islamabad United won the first edition and Lahore Qalandars spent years as the league's most watchable failure before winning back to back titles, which tells you how little early form predicts here. A random assignment is a March and April commitment, and the tournament runs a little over a month.
Tips for Fair Draws
The league expanded to eight teams in 2026, so a wheel you remember with six entries is out of date rather than customised.
Exclude the two most decorated sides if you want the draw to lean toward the newer franchises. Save the trimmed wheel and it loads that way next season.
